VP of Commercial Finance

The Role

The VP of Commercial Finance reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer and will be responsible for providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior management in areas that include, Board presentations, financial analysis, Joint Venture activities, new business opportunities and other specialized projects as assigned.

Key responsibilities will include:

Investments:

• Evaluate new commercial opportunities, including asset purchases, sales, lease transactions, and strategic investments.
• Assess financial, operational, and market considerations to support investment decisions.
• Lead commercial negotiations for acquisitions, dispositions, leases, and other strategic transactions.
• Oversee the preparation and review of business cases for investments, transactions, and strategic initiatives.
• Validate financial models and calculations prior to executive review and approval.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to support long-term business objectives

Finance (Co-Investments):

• Develop and execute the company’s co-investment partnership strategy.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with prospective co-investment partners aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Source and assess acquisition, leasing, and investment opportunities in collaboration with partners.

Special Project or Duties:

• Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and growth opportunities.
• Develop and maintain executive dashboards, board materials, and management reports that provide actionable insights into business performance.
• Lead cross-functional special projects, process improvement initiatives, and operational reviews to drive efficiency and profitability.

The Person

The ideal candidate for the position should meet the following requirements:

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or a related field from an accredited university; CPA or MBA strongly preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in a corporate finance or accounting role (public company a plus)
• Strong computer and systems skills; including Microsoft Office, Quantum, Crystal Report, Sparta, NAVA
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
• Build strong relationships with vendors and customers

The Package
