The Role

Reporting to the Principal CEO, the Director/VP of Asset Management will oversee the management and optimization of our client’s leasing portfolio. The individual will collaborate closely with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the profitability and efficiency of our client’s aviation assets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical services background, along with portfolio management and commercial acumen. Skilled in contract negotiation and with substantial experience in asset management and expertise in older aircraft and engine models, they will support the Commercial Department in overseeing our client’s portfolio of assets during the lease term.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working effectively within the Asset Management Team to maintain the technical accuracy and integrity of all portfolio assets.
  • Monitoring and managing the technical provisions of aircraft and engine lease agreements.
  • Serving as a key technical support for aircraft remarketing and sales transactions.
  • Managing maintenance reserves and processing maintenance reserve claims.

The Person

The ideal candidate for the position should meet the following requirements:

  • Degree-educated, with a minimum of 10-15 years of demonstrable experience in the aviation industry (ideally with both technical and commercial backgrounds), and a minimum of 10 years in technical asset management.
  • Highly commercial and analytical, with broad knowledge of aircraft, maintenance, and regulatory requirements and applications, along with strong Excel skills.
  • Customer-driven, with a successful track record in leading negotiations and securing high-value agreements. The ability to understand and interpret legal and technical financial documentation is essential.
  • Ability to analyze technical data and convert it into a commercial understanding of an asset’s maintenance condition adjusted status and predicted future condition via fly forward methodology.
  • Extensive aviation experience and industry network.

The Package

This position will be based in Denver, Colorado, however, there may be consideration given to working remotely. Our client is offering an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience.
