VP Technical

The Role

Reporting to the SVP, Technical, the VP Technical will participate in the delivery and return of commercial aircraft to client airlines. The successful candidate will support Marketing on all technical matters, including LOI and lease document negotiation. The role will also cover management of the aircraft redelivery and management of the aircraft transition.

Key responsibilities will include

• Negotiate maintenance reserve rates, maintenance, delivery and return condition provisions of leases with lessees.
• Management of the aircraft redelivery, including schedule planning, coordination, negotiation, and decision making etc.
• Management of the aircraft transition, including the budget establishment, schedule planning, project management and resource coordination etc. to achieve on time and within budget delivery.
• Negotiate MRO GTAs, Part 21 Design and CAMO GTAs, Contractor personnel company & Borescope Providers GTAs to support aircraft transition needs.
• Manage Airline technical relationships including processing of MR Claims and Mid Term audits

The Person

The ideal candidate for the position should have the following experience:

• Third level degree in Aircraft Maintenance Management/Engineering or similar relevant qualification or significant experience in a comparable role
• Minimum 5 years plus experience working in a Technical Department of an aircraft leasing company, airline or technical advisory firm with particular emphasis on aircraft transition project management and experienced in LOI and lease negotiation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to blend with a small team and to operate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
• Willingness to travel internationally often at short notice.
