The Role

Reporting to the Group CFO, the job function will primarily be responsible for evaluating and reporting counter-party risk, encompassing both due diligence of prospective new customers as well as the continuous monitoring of existing lessees.  Analysis of underlying country risk issues will be an intrinsic part of portfolio and transaction risk evaluation.

Responsibilities include amongst others:

  • Providing credit assessment of potential lessees, existing lessors and potential portfolio purchases.
  • Clearly report attendant transaction risks and, to the greatest extent possible, recommend risk mitigation measures to be employed.
  • Visit client or potential client airlines to review and assess their financial performance amongst other things as well as part of a deal origination and internal approval process.
  • Draft and present credit / transaction approval papers to the relevant internal authorising body.

The Person

The ideal candidate for the position should meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of international experience with a leasing company, insurance or an aviation bank. Candidates with aviation credit experience will receive additional consideration.
  • Degree educated, in either Economics, Accountancy or an Aviation related qualification (Air Transport Management) is desired.
  • Analytical and mentally agile, you will have first class decision making, problem solving and negotiation skills, plus attention to detail is critical in this role.

The Package

This position will be based in Dublin or Amsterdam and our client is offering a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience.
