Experienced in all sectors of Aviation we primarily focus on Aviation Leasing companies and Aviation Financiers although we also carry out assignments for Airlines, Airports, MRO organisations and other Service Providers.

We are currently mandated to find an experienced Powerplant professional for a leading Aircraft Leasing Company.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the Powerplant Director will be based in the Dublin office.  This role will provide regional technical support to our client’s customers.

As key member of our clients technical team, you will work closely with the lessees and MROs in regard to workscope development, table inspections, and post shop visit reserve claim review and resolution.  You will also be responsible for:

• Assisting the Technical and field consultants in support of aircraft return and delivery of engines and APU issues
• Working closely with the lessee on technical issues and interpretation of lease language
• Establishing lessee scheduled shop visit removal plans and future major material and LLP requirements
• Providing routine shop surveillance of MROs
• Experience of aircraft transitions from an engine pespective

The Person

Our preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 – 10 years technical experience in the operation, maintenance, and overhaul of commercial aircraft engines, preferably CFM or V2500, in a maintenance/engineering support related area. With previous experience working for an engine leasing company, airline, MRO or Technical Engine consultancy in a fleet/asset management type role, or a technical-engine position within an aircraft leasing company.  You should also have a good understanding of aircraft gas turbine operation, design fundamentals, and basic performance parameters.

Ideally be degree educated, in a related area of study such as Aviation (Technology, Science, or Maintenance Management), or Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical) and an A&P license would be a plus.
